THE HEIMLICH MANEUVER

Lets face it, our dogs are always swallowing things that they shouldn’t,  whether it be large pieces of rawhide, toys, bones, balls, sticks, socks, etc..

If your dog starts to paw at his mouth, cough, drool excessively, and/or act panicked, he may have something lodged in his throat causing him to choke.  If you think your dog is choking, immediately call your veterinarian!  They will be able to help you determine if your dog is choking and give you guidance on what to do next.

If you can not reach a veterinarian, follow these Pet First Aid tips, courtesy of Kurgo.com
